The Polytechnic College was established on July 29th 1980, as a wing of the Rural Polytechnic Institute by the founders Sri GR Govindarajulu and Smt G Chandrakanthi.

The Polytechnic College is situated at Kuppepalayam, 25 Kms from Coimbatore. The calm and peaceful environment of the campus is conducive to absolute concentration in studies.

Co-education implemented from 2006.
