GRG Polytechnic College, established in 1980, was the first aided women's polytechnic in Coimbatore. It is the matter of pride that the benchmarks set then by the college are standards even today. What began as an institution to empower rural girl students to pursue socially productive careers in technical functions has blossomed into a co-educational power house on the map of technical learning.

The Polytechnic College is situated at Kuppepalayam, 25 Kms from Coimbatore. The calm and peaceful environment of the campus is conducive to absolute concentration in studies.

To achieve a leading position in technical education and to impart quality education and competency based training by providing a conducive learning atmosphere to fulfill the need of the students especially from the rural areas.

The Polytechnic College aims to inculcate value-based technical education and mould the character of the younger generation enabling rural youth to fit into a wider world and pursue socially productive careers and meet the challenging needs of the industry, society and the country.
